Artemia is rich of protein and fat (protein is about 60% and fat is around 24%). Its nauplii also has high nutrition. So Artemia is excellent live bait of fishes, shrimps and crabs. It's reported that more than 85% aquaculture creature seeds are based on Artemia in the world.

Our Artemia cysts (brine shrimp eggs) is mainly harvested from China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia.  They have the small egg diameter, good separation and strong vigor to promote rapid growth and survival for aquatic larva. These cysts are over-wintered, washed, dried and tested under strict guidelines before categorizing into the different hatch rate categories. We use the most advanced technology in the world to process and hatching rate is over 85%. Before leaving our factory our producst will be strictly inspected by our own lab and China Commodity Inspection Bureau, which ensure our customers are satisfied with our each consignment.

HATCHING GUIDE

Salinity  20 - 30ppt  or approximately 1-2 tablespoons (25 grams) of salt per 1 L of water

Temperature - Optimum temperature for a 24 hour complete hatch 28° C. Lowering the temperature would result in a longer hatching time. Do not exceed 30°C.

Light - not less than 2000Lux during the full 24 hr.

Aeration - Constant aeration is also necessary to provide sufficient oxygen levels for the cysts to metabolize and hatch.

PH - A starting pH of 8.0 or higher is recommended. If pH drops below 7.5 during incubation, add a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate or a pH buffer to raise it above 8.0.

Stocking Density - less than 2.5 grams of cysts per liter of saline solution. A higher stocking density will result in a lower % hatch.

   SRORAGE CONDITION
For short term storage
store in a cool dry place not more than 30ºC for up to 30 days. If the Artemia cysts are not used immediately keep the container tightly sealed to prevent the contents from moisture. Once the container has been opened, use within a few days time.
For long term storage
under refrigerated conditions ( less then 0° C) is usually best to maintain the hatch rate for up to 24 months.
If you take the artemia cysts from storage, please keep 12 hours outside, then to hatch.
